A home with life in it.

Personal care, familiar routines, good company and plenty going on. Richmond House is a small care home where people are known as individuals.

We want residents to feel at home, not simply to live in one.

That means getting to know the person first. Their routines, favourite things, family, interests, food, music, goals and the way they want to be supported all matter.

Getting to know you comes first.

Every resident has their own strengths, wishes and needs. Richmond House works with residents, families, friends, advocates and professionals to build care around the individual.

Care plans are reviewed regularly and the principles of dignity, respect, compassion, inclusion, responsive care and wellbeing sit behind day-to-day support.

Days with something in them.

Activities are shaped around what residents actually enjoy. Arts and crafts, gardening, baking, exercise, music and visiting entertainers all feature, alongside quieter one-to-one time.

Care is only one part of the day.

Richmond House also supports the ordinary parts of life that make somewhere feel like home.
